The Bhagavad Gita श्रीमद् भगवद् गीता
Verse 1.20
Bhagavad Gita Verse 1.20
अथ व्यवस्थितान् दृष्टवा धार्तराष्ट्रान् कपिध्वजः ।
प्रवृत्ते शस्त्रसंपाते धनुर् उध्यम्य पाण्डवः ।।
अथ
NOW.
Now listen very carefully.
Now drop what you are doing.
Clear your mind of plans and projections.
शस्त्रसंपाते धनुर् उध्यम्य
Now listen with one pointed attention.
पाण्डवः
Only if you are silent and when your senses are not engaged and your mind is clear will you be able to hear.
Hear what? Hear whom?
Your own self buddy.
Your own heart's yearning. Your own deep aspiration. Your own true desire.
Really.
is there such a thing?
i never did know or maybe i forgot.
YOU have been trying to catch YOUR own attention. It's been a long time. Somehow you took birth, started school, and then started running. You started getting overfilled with your senses. With inputs from all over. All the razzle dazzle and the excitements. All the sights and sounds and tastes.
YOU have been trying to catch YOUR self since quite a while. Some years have passed.
Where is the time? Where is the money? Where are the resources? And anyway i am busy. i am earning my bread and butter. I have duties and responsibilities. I have projects and deadlines. I am taking care of a family. I am doing something terribly important. Where is any chance to listen to my heart?
Each time you shut out yourself with such pompousness that your heart kindly lowers its volume, becomes translucent. And you miss it completely.
And then one day the Lord lends a hand. Lord Sound makes such a bang that you cannot get any input from any sense. Even your memory gets wiped out and your intellect nose dives. Bhagavad Gita Verse 1.14
Some aeons pass by.
Then you glimpse a most alluring scene. You and the Lord are together and are doing the same thing. Bhagavad Gita Verse 1.19
And an onlooker notices the most amazing thing.
He notices You became aware of the murmer of your heart. And he reports it to the King, this being a most unusual event. A unique, rare and never before occurred happening.
