The Bhagavad Gita श्रीमद् भगवद् गीता

Verse 1.21 a

Bhagavad Gita Verse 1.21 a

हृषीकेशं तदा वाक्यमिदमाह महीपते ।

And then
AND THEN

and when one stops running and stops racing and becomes still.

THEN one listens to one's heart.
THEN one talks to the Lord.
THEN one begins the journey.

हृषीकेशं तदा
Then to The Lord.
Then to One's Heart.
Then to Hrishikesha = controller of the senses = the one who has reigned-in the senses of touch taste sight ...
ie only after i have detached my Will from my sense pleasures and ambitions.
ie only after i have put my i20 in neutral gear.

वाक्यं इदम् आह
words this spoken.
this sentence bursts forth.
a conversation begins.
the i20 goes into 1st gear

महीपते
the Big man
the Great personality
the Top ranker
the 1st in class

one becomes a big man when one stops fretting. when one loses feverishness. when one regains poise and calm. when one detaches from the sense pleasures.

only then one takes the 1st position in class or in a 100m dash and is called Topper.

Here in this verse, in LIFE, one becomes the Most Valuable Person MVP,  when one runs calm smooth unruffled and balanced.

Only a Topper listens to his heart. Only a topper talks to Himself.
